answer worldwide unmet needs in record time. We have come to a time where the impact of scientific
research is well recognized, biotechnology enters our homes every day and scientists are more important
than ever. What we expected the future to be has clearly arrived. The Future is Now.
Biotechnology is interacting with humanity in a way never seen before. With that in mind, we
present to you the 8 th BiotechHealth Annual Symposium: Biotech Talks | The Future is Now. In this year
annual symposium, we would like to emphasize the work of several remarkable scientists (national and
international) and highlight their contribution in these inspiring and continuously flourishing talks on applied
biotechnology. The advances occurring every day are changing the path and world of Biotechnology, be a
part of this exchange of knowledge and join us.
THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE
The BiotechHealth Annual Symposium is integrated in the International Doctoral Program in Molecular and Cellular Biotechnology Applied to Health Sciences (BiotechHealth), from Faculdade de Farmácia and Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar, from Universidade do Porto. This Doctoral Program stands out for its multidisciplinary environment, with students from varied fields of Science. The Program promotes several colaborations, both national and international, involving recognized research groups and institutes, together with companies and hospitals, therefore, encouraging students to purse challenging and multidisciplinary PhD projects.

is organized by the 7th edition students of the BiotechHealth Doctoral Program.
